On January 20, 2026, Swiss leisure carrier Edelweiss Air, part of the Lufthansa Group, unveiled the cabin interiors it will fit on its Airbus A350-900 fleet.

The carrier received its first A350-900 in March 2025, and currently operates four aircraft of this type, with two more expected to be delivered in the near future.

These aircraft are relatively new and were previously operated by LATAM Airlines, which decided to dispose of its entire A350 fleet in 2021 and make the B787 its long-haul workhorse. Edelweiss temporarily kept the original cabin configuration with 30 Business and 309 Economy class seats.

The new cabin interiors are part of a total revamp program, with the slogan “More room to feel good” and will cover all cabin classes.

The Swiss carrier has opted for a more minimalist design, with a reduced color palette, the use of different shades of blue throughout the cabin, and simpler and cleaner lines. The goal is to induce a feeling of calm and relaxation onboard while also conveying a sense of sophistication.

Edelweiss also aims to deliver a more premium experience overall, with seats on all service classes getting three more centimeters of space. The Swiss carrier will also introduce a Premium Economy section with 28 ZIMPrivacy hard-shell seats.

The Business class cabin will also see enhancement through the introduction of new lie-flat Thompson Vantage XL+ seats with direct aisle access. Half of these seats will be double, designed specifically for couples traveling together. Additionally, some seats in Business class will be Business Suites, designed for extra privacy, featuring more space and fitted with privacy doors.

All seats will be fitted with in-seat power outlets (with USB-C and USB-A ports), 4K seatback screens with Bluetooth audio connectivity, and access to the airline’s inflight entertainment (IFE) system featuring over 400 films and series, 3D flight maps, and external cameras.

Like all other airlines within the Lufthansa Group, Edelweiss Air aircraft will also soon be fitted with high-speed internet access provided by SpaceX’s Starlink. This new service will be offered for free to registered users.

Edelweiss Air expects the first retrofitted aircraft to enter service by December 2026, with the rest of its A350 fleet undergoing cabin conversion in the subsequent months, through to July 2027.
