The Airbus A321XLR (Extra Long Range) is the longest-range single-aisle airliner in service, an A321neo derivative with an additional rear centre fuel tank giving up to 4,700 of range. It received EASA certification in mid-2024 and entered service with Iberia, opening thin long-haul and transatlantic routes that were previously uneconomical for narrowbodies.
