Sukhoi
Sukhoi is Russia's principal fighter design house, founded as Pavel Sukhoi's design bureau in 1939 and merged into the state-owned United Aircraft Corporation, under Rostec, in 2022. Design remains in Moscow; production is at Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Russian Far East and Novosibirsk.
Algeria's receipt of its first two Su-57E fighters in late 2025, from an order of about 14 signed that year, turned the Su-57 program from a domestic effort into the first non-American stealth fighter export in history. The Su-35S, the definitive development of the Su-27 line that entered service in 2014, remains the company's volume product, delivered to Russia, China, Iran and Algeria.
