Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH was founded in 1986 to manage the four-nation Typhoon program and is headquartered in Hallbergmoos, Germany. It is owned by Airbus Defence and Space with 46%, BAE Systems with 33% and Leonardo with 21%, with national assembly lines in Manching, Warton, Turin and Getafe.

October 2025 turned a program approaching its production tail into one with a decade of work: Germany ordered 20 Tranche 5 aircraft and Turkey signed for 20 as the tenth customer nation, lifting total orders past 760 against more than 600 delivered. The consortium structure, one aircraft, four assembly lines, remains the largest collaborative combat aircraft (CCA-era) industrial arrangement in Europe.
