Lufthansa Technik and Emirates have extended a base maintenance services contract to support Emirates’ fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft in Asia.
On September 2, 2026, the two organizations said that Lufthansa Technik Philippines will continue to perform heavy checks on Emirates’ A380 aircraft through 2030.
At the Lufthansa Technik Philippines facility in Manila, the MRO company provide two dedicated base maintenance lines to Emirates, the world’s largest A380 operator.
In addition, Emirates will also become the launch customer for Lufthansa Technik Philippines’ new facility at Clark International Airport (CRK) once operations begin.
According to Lufthansa Technik, the new agreement is one of the largest by value in the history of its Philippines facility.

To date, Lufthansa Technik Philippines has successfully completed more than 30 A380 checks for the airline.

Lufthansa Technik has provided heavy maintenance support to Emirates’ A380 aircraft since 2023.
At the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) facility in Manila, Lufthansa Technik services Airbus A330, A340 and A380 as well as Boeing 777 aircraft.
The new facility at Clark International Airport will also support Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft.
