Germany’s Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA) will now require their crew on planes to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“International flight operations will not be feasible without coronavirus vaccination for aircraft crew,” the airline’s spokesperson explained.

Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA) will negotiate an agreement with staff representatives to reach agreed terms and implementation date.

Meanwhile, Lufthansa’s (LHAB) (LHA) subsidiary Swiss will also introduce a requirement for vaccination starting mid-November 2021, as Swiss contracts already allow that.

Another subsidiary of Lufthansa (LHAB) (LHA), Austrian Air, already has a record of 9 out of 10 employees vaccinated against the coronavirus.
