Vueling added its first A321neo to its fleet on February 1, 2023.

The brand new aircraft flew straight from Airbus’ factory in Hamburg, Germany, to Barcelona, where Vueling is headquartered.

This aircraft is the first of nine that the low-cost airline, which is part of the IAG group, has on order with the European manufacturer. Prior to the arrival of this first A321neo, Vueling’s fleet was composed of 125 aircraft, all of which are part of the extended A320 family (18 A321ceo, 25 A320neo, 77 A320ceo and 6 A319s)

Vueling joins other airlines of the IAG group that are already operating the A321neo, such as British Airways, Iberia Express and Aer Lingus.

In addition to the remaining eight A321neos awaiting delivery, Vueling has another A320neos also on order.

The Barcelona-based airline operates its existing A321 fleet with a 220-seat configuration.
