Lufthansa is Germany's flag carrier and the anchor airline of Lufthansa Group, Europe's largest airline group by revenue, whose brands also include SWISS, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings and ITA Airways. From its Frankfurt and Munich hubs it serves about 200 destinations with one of the most varied long-haul fleets in the sky.
Led since 2014 by Carsten Spohr, the airline is in the middle of its biggest product overhaul in decades: the Allegris cabin rollout across first, business, premium economy and economy, and the introduction of the Boeing 777-9, for which Lufthansa is launch customer, alongside its A350s, reactivated A380s and the world's largest 747-8 fleet.

Lufthansa's long-haul fleet is unusually varied, spanning the Airbus A350 and A380, the Boeing 747-8, of which it is the world's principal operator, and the incoming 777-9, whose first delivery it takes as launch customer.

Hub & route network
Frankfurt is the group's primary hub and one of Europe's great connecting points, with Munich as a second long-haul hub focused on the A380 and premium traffic.
