The next Farnborough Airshow is going to last five days instead of seven, as the event organizers decide to remove the public weekend from the schedule. The decision was made with having the business side in mind.

Instead of the public weekend, the last day of the trade show  will be open to public and focus on “inspiring the next generation and showcasing the technologies driving new products and manufacturing processes”, according to a statement.

“Removing the public weekend will disappoint some, but for our exhibitors and trade visitors the focus is on business and accessing the talent they need to sustain global competitiveness,” according to Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International.

The biennaal Farnborough International Airshow attracted around 1,500 exhibitors and 80,000 the last time it took place ‒ in 2018. The upcoming event will take place on July 20-24, 2020.
