Irkut Corporation announces that the third MC-21-300 prototype was flown to Moscow to join certification testing program. This time, the airliner was fitted with passenger cabin.

The airliner was flown from Ulyanovsk Vostochny airport to Ramenskoye airport (Zhukovsky, Moscow region). The flight went through “in normal mode” and “without complaint”, the manufacturer claims in a statement released on May 13, 2019.

“The new aircraft will join the other two aircraft performing flights from the Ramenskoye airfield under the certification test program,” the statement reads.
