Turkish Airlines flight TK1920 draws crescent and star in sky

On April 23, 2020, Turkish Airlines Boeing 777 jet embarked for one of the kind flights TK1920. While the flight is already predetermined to land just where it took off from, Ankara, it is not the destination, but the journey that catches attention. 

Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier airline of the country, is creating a massive Turkish flag over the skies of the Central Anatolia Region. The airline’s Boeing  777-300 (registration number TC-JJF) flight path is shaped as a crescent and a star.

The flight number “TK1920” symbolizes the founding date of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the country’s Parliament. It was founded in Ankara on April 23, 1920. 

The flight, which could be followed live via flgihtradar24.com, attracted the attention of over 105.000+ viewers.
