Chinese Aviation’s bright future: Jiangxi Air’s first commercial ARJ21 flight has started operating

Since the COVID-19 epidemic spread globally, the aviation industry has been experiencing an unprecedented reshuffle and reorganization, and this impact has also spread to the aviation manufacturing industry.

Many mainstream companies are having a difficult time to keep their businesses going. This also includes the Boeing Company in the United States. However, it seems that Chinese aviation industry has already began its recovery from the epidemic’s effect.

On May 15, Chinese Regional Airline’s, Jiangxi Air first commercial ARJ21 flight had successfully taken off from Jinggang shan Airport and landed in Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport on May 16.

ARJ21 is an important regional aircraft for Chinese aviation. By the end of April this year, Commercial Aircraft of China (COMAC) had delivered a total of 25 ARJ21 aircraft to Jiangxi Airlines, Chengdu Airline and Tianjiao Airline. At present, the ARJ21 flight has successfully been deployed on a total of 50 routes, connected over 50 cities and safely transported more than 820,000 passengers.

Considering that the current global aviation manufacturing industry is in a tough situation, the successful first commercial ARJ21 flight shows that China has made tremendous progress in air transportation and is of a great significance to the development of China’s aviation manufacturing industry.
