China Eastern Airlines launches unlimited VIP lounge access sales

Since the summer, “unlimited flight pass” has been a popular way of promotion among many Chinese airlines, after the China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA) first launched this type of product in June.

Recently, China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA) has again taken the lead in launching “567 VIP Lounge Pass” .

The “567 VIP Lounge pass” launched within the airline’s app allows purchasers to enter the VIP lounges of China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA) for unlimited times every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to enjoy VIP service. It’s valid from 1st of August till 31st of December 2020, for a price of CYN¥ 567 (USD$ 81).

The pass can be used only when the user is taking flights of China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA) and Shanghai Airlines.

China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA) has 23 VIP lounges in 16 cities and 18 airports. According to the introduction of the airline, the VIP room provides hot food and a variety of drinks, as well as high-speed internet, charging facilities, massage chairs, lockers and other facilities. However, the opening hours and specific service contents of the VIP room should be subject to local on-site service.

This unlimited VIP lounge pass will enable passengers who don’t have a premium membership card to enjoy the VIP service at a low price, and also help to improve the utilization rate of the VIP lounge.

“This product can be regarded as one of the supporting products of unlimited flight pass released earlier, and will be a perfect match for passengers who have already purchased the unlimited flight pass,” commented by China Eastern Airlines (CIAH) (CEA).

Airlines worldwide mainly have their revenue from ticket sales. At the same time, VIP lounges, luggage check-in, customized meals, airframe advertising and others compose the subsidiary revenue of airlines besides.

As the pioneer of launching new types of products in China, this “567 Lounge Pass” is another innovative attempt to increase revenue under the impact of the epidemic.
