At the end of September, the first Airbus A320neo for low-cost Japanese airline Peach was delivered.

The current fleet of Peach is comprised of 32 Airbus A320ceos and one Neo.

The aircraft should enter the service on 25 October with the registration JA201P.

The aircraft is configured with 188 seats in a single class. A320neo features next generation engines and Sharklets that reduce fuel burn by 20 percent and noise footprint by up to 50 percent.

Peach considers launching two domestic routes – from Sapporo and Sendai to Okinawa – with resumption of flights to Taipei Taoyuan from Osaka Kansai, Tokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita, after having suspended them in March.

As spokesperson from Peach said “The first A320neo will be sequentially introduced to these routes as well”.

Other seven A320neos should be delivered between April 2021 and June 2022 and four A321neos are set to arrive in the first half of 2021.

Currently Peach is the only Japanese low-cost carrier operating A320neo-family aircraft. Nevertheless its competitor Jetstar Japan has one A321neo on order to be delivered in October.

All Nippon Airways, is the only premium Japanese airline that owes A320neo-family aircraft. It has eleven A320neos and twelve A321neos in their fleet at the moment.
