Pilot cadet shares training challenges aviators face amid pandemic

Jonathan Felber, a pilot cadet, has always been fascinated by aviation. Since his childhood, Jonathan has dreamed about a pilot job and began accomplishing his desired goal step by step starting from leisure flights on flight simulators.

Jonathan told AeroTime he had signed the contract with his training school as well as with the airline just before the pandemic hit in March 2020.

“In March and April I was doubtful but since I had already signed the contract and the airline also didn’t retract their letter of engagement, I was never all that close to not starting training. Even if I don’t get a job right away, it’s still definitely what I want to do. Aviation has a tendency to recover quicker than people expect, at least that’s what previous crises have shown, so I’m just hopping on that!” the cadet added.

Listen to Johnathan talk about the challenges of pilot training during the Covid pandemic below.
