Air Canada (ADH2) introduced a new retro livery adorning one of its Airbus A220. The aircraft will now sport the colors of Trans-Canada Air Lines (TCA), which operated between 1937 and 1965 before being renamed Air Canada (ADH2).

The A220-300, registered as C-GNBN, was painted by Airbus at its facility near Montréal–Mirabel International Airport (YMX), where TCA was also headquartered and Air Canada (ADH2) is still based. The aircraft should soon be delivered to the airline.
Trans-Canada Air Lines’ name change was the initiative of Jean Chrétien. The man who would later become the country’s 20th prime minister sought to give Canada’s national carrier a bilingual name. The name Air Canada (ADH2) was already being used by French-Canadians.
