On May 14, 2021, Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer announced that it would deliver the first Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to Swiss airline Helvetic Airways in June 2021.

The Embraer E195-E2 will be the airline’s first jet of such type. The E195-E2 is the largest aircraft in Embraer’s E-Jet E2 family designed to maximize efficiency in high-density routes. The aircraft has a layout of seats varying from 120 to 146. Carrying a full load of passengers, the E195-E2’s range extends to 2,600nm (4,815km).

“The new super efficient wings help make the E2’s fuel burn 25% less than the first generation E195,” Embraer wrote in its tweet.

Currently, Helvetic Airways has a total of 12 aircraft in its fleet, the planespotters.net data shows. The airline’s fleet consists of only Embraer-manufactured aircraft: eight Embraer E190-E2s and four Embraer ERJ-190 jets

Helvetic Airways is a Swiss regional airline with its fleet stationed at Zurich Airport (ZRH). The airline was founded in 2003.
