Explosive found in Vilnius Airport territory

Lithuanian authorities reportedly announced that an explosive was found in the territory of Vilnius Airport (VNO), Lithuania. 

On June 12, 2021, Vilnius County police received a message that airport construction workers had dug an explosive in the territory of Vilnius Airport (VNO), Lithuania. The representative of Vilnius County police told Lithuanian media outlet 15min that the explosive was found in the airport ramp area where the pavement is currently being replaced. 

Firefighters, officers of the Police Anti-Terrorist Operations Team, and deminers of the Lithuanian Armed Forces were informed about the explosive.

However, VNO operations will not be affected by this event, according to the representative of Lithuanian airports.
