Emirates unveils first A380 full-aircraft livery to mark Dubai Expo 2020
Emirates has unveiled the first “nose-to-tail” livery for one of its A380 aircraft, with a colorful design promoting the Dubai Expo 2020.
The bright blue aircraft features large-scale graphics in green, orange, pink, purple and red, as well as the Expo 2020 Dubai logo. Emirates describes it as a “bold departure” from its usual gold and white livery.
The design covers the entire fuselage, tail, and fin. Even the engine cowls received a make-over, sporting Expo 2020 messages and the dates of the event.

Plane spotters can see the aircraft ‒ A6EEU ‒ in its new livery when it heads to Los Angeles on September 29, 2021.
The process of painting the livery design and applying the decals took 16 days and 4,379 man-hours to complete, Emirates said on September 28, 2021.
Expo 2020 Dubai is the first World Expo ever hosted in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region, and will run from October 2021 to March 2022.
“The new Expo 2020 Dubai livery will appear on three Emirates A380 aircraft to help visually tell the story and reaffirm the themes of one of the largest global events to take place since the onset of the pandemic,” Emirates said in a statement, adding that it already has 40 other special liveries for the show.
