Not content with flying passengers, Canada’s Porter Airlines has teamed up with a brewery to launch its own beer called, you guessed it, the Porter Porter.
The collaboration with Beau’s Brewing has yielded a porter-style beer, a dark beer which the regional carrier says has notes of espresso, chocolate, and vanilla.
Porter Airlines started serving the brew to passengers as part of its free snacks and drink service on October 12, 2021. It will also be available in 473ml cans, with a design featuring Porter’s raccoon mascot, in selected stores in Ontario and Quebec later on in the month.
“This is a unique opportunity for Porter to introduce our brand to customers outside of airports and airplanes,” Kevin Jackson, chief commercial officer announced on October 12, 2021. “We’re looking forward to adding the new beer to our complimentary onboard service, while also giving passengers the ability to enjoy a piece of the Porter experience right at home.”

Porter Airlines also offers other Beau’s Brewing products onboard. The brewer said it was “thrilled” to work with the carrier.
“Making the choice of what style to brew for this project was a no-brainer and such a perfect addition to our core line-up of brands,” said Steve Beauchesne, co-founder and CEO of Beau’s Brewing.
Porter Airlines restarted commercial operations on September 8, 2021, almost 18 months after suspending operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
