Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer delivered a total of 30 aircraft in the third quarter of 2021, down by four aircraft compared to the previous quarter.
According to Embraer, out of 30 delivered aircraft, 21 were business jets and nine were commercial aircraft.
In Q3 2021, business jet deliveries comprised 14 Phenom 300s, five Praetor 600s, and two Praetor 500 jets. As for the commercial aviation segment, Embraer delivered six Embraer E175 aircraft and three E195-E2 aircraft. Embraer also announced that its backlog totaled 313 jets valued at $16.8 billion as of September 2021.
During the quarter, Embraer signed several contracts with various customers for services agreements and sales of new aircraft.
In August 2021, Embraer announced the sale of 16 new E175 jets to SkyWest Airlines worth $798.4 million at list prices. Embraer also inked a deal with Porter Airlines for an aftermarket support package for Porter’s E2 fleet of commercial aircraft, for up to 20 years.
In September 2021, Embraer signed a services agreement with Alliance Airlines, which will provide materials support for the carrier’s fleet of E190s.
Meanwhile, in October 2021, Embraer signed a deal valued at $1.2 billion with private jet charter company NetJets to deliver an additional 100 Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft. The deliveries of new aircraft are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2023, according to Embraer. The deal also includes a comprehensive services agreement.
