Boeing is adding more capacity for the 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF), in light of rising customer demand, it announced at the Singapore Airshow.

The additional 767-300BCF conversion line will be added at partner ST Engineering’s facility in Guangzhou, China in the second half of 2022.

“Boeing is pleased to further expand our strong and long-standing relationship with ST Engineering on the versatile 767-300BCF and its global customer base,” Ted Colbert, President & CEO of Boeing Global Services, said in the statement on February 15, 2022.

The new line comes after Boeing signed a deal for two 767-300BCF conversion lines with China’s GAMECO in September 2021.

Boeing said the 767-300BCF has over 100 orders and commitments from customers, including recent orders from cargo leasing firm ATSG and global logistics firm DHL.

The manufacturer has been busy adding freighter conversion loans for other types, having also announced plans to add eight 737-800BCF conversion lines across suppliers in 2021.
