Breeze Airways, the US low-cost start-up carrier founded by David Neeleman (who is also the founder of WestJet and JetBlue (JBLU) airways), has announced 35 new routes and 10 new cities in time for summer 2022.
The airline, which began operations in May 2021, has a primarily east and southeast coast flight route. The latest expansion will see Breeze start services from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Bernandino.
Breeze Airways, which markets itself as a “seriously nice” airline, now boasts a total of 77 routes between 28 cities across 18 states.

The airline will also add new destinations from the east and southeast coast of the US. Three of those markets are in Florida: Jacksonville, Fort Myers and Sarasota/Bradenton. The other new cities are Nashville; Savannah, Georgia; and Syracuse, New York.
“We generally always – 95% of the time – try and find routes where there’s people flying or that people would fly if the fares were better and the service was more convenient,” Breeze founder and CEO David Neeleman said in an interview with local media.
Neeleman cited Syracuse; Jacksonville; Fort Myers, Florida; and Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia, which will all receive a new direct flight to Las Vegas.
“Those are all great cities but there’s no nonstop service to Las Vegas,” he said.
Breeze Airways targets nonstop routes that are not served by other airlines.
