BAA Training is expanding in France, providing Air France with Airbus A320 Type Rating services under a new partnership.

The Lithuanian aviation training provider will train over 170 pilots at BAA Training simulator centers in Barcelona and Vilnius, using both full flight simulators and flight training devices. The first students will begin training in September 2022, BAA Training said in a statement.

“We closely cooperate with dozens of airlines, including the largest industry players, which makes us fully aware of the challenges provoked by the aviation recovery,” commented Marijus Ravoitis, CEO of BAA Training. “We look forward to strengthening our existing relationship with Air France and would like to thank them for their continued trust.”

The move adds to ongoing expansion in France for BAA Training. In cooperation with Transavia, the low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM Group, BAA Training is setting up a new simulator facility near Paris. The new center will feature 6 simulator bays that will host A320 and Boeing 737 full flight simulators and start operations in January 2023.

BAA Training previously launched an Ab Initio training program in cooperation with French specialist aviation university Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC).

BAA Training is part of the Avia Solutions Group, which also includes AeroTime Hub.
