Lessor AerCap is adding to its Boeing Dreamliner fleet, announcing an order for five 787-9 aircraft at the Farnborough Airshow.

AerCap is the world’s largest 787 customer and the new order means that it has 125 787 Dreamliners in its portfolio or on order.

“AerCap is the world’s largest 787 customer and we are very pleased to strengthen that position with this order for five additional aircraft,” said Peter Anderson, chief commercial officer of AerCap, in a statement on July 19, 2022.

The Farnborough Airshow runs from July 18-22 and is a chance for aircraft manufacturers, such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and ATR, to sign orders from customers old and new.
