Ryanair reports September traffic record with 15.9 million passengers carried

Irish budget carrier Ryanair carried 15.9 million passengers in September 2022, according to its latest traffic table released on October 4, 2022, representing a 49% increase compared to 10.6 million air travelers during the same period the year before.  

The load factor [a metric which is used to measure the percentage of available seating capacity that had been filled with passengers, ed.-], was 94%, an increase of 13% compared to 81% in September 2021.  

Ryanair operated more than 88,850 passenger flights during September, the airline added.   

This is the ultra-low cost carries third busiest month, flying a record 16.9 million passengers in August, with a load factor of 96%, and 16.8 million passengers in July, with a load factor of 80%.  

The carrier expects passenger traffic for the full year of 2022 to reach 166.5 million.
