Airbus delivered 55 aircraft and secured 23 jet orders in September

Planemaker Airbus has published details on its deliveries and orders in September 2023.

According to the aviation giant it delivered 55 aircraft to 34 customers and added 23 gross orders to its books.

The two significant orders came from Turkish Airlines on September 12, 2023, and LATAM Airlines on September 14, 2023.

The Turkish Airlines order was a repeat order for 10 additional Airbus A350-900 widebody aircraft which will take the carriers total for the type to 40. LATAM added 13 Airbus A321neo aircraft to its backlog.

Through September 2023, Airbus delivered seven widebody aircraft. German leisure airline Condor received two A330-900 while Air China, Asiana Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air France, and Air India each received an A350-900 aircraft.

In terms of single aisle aircraft, four A220-300 jets were delivered and 44 A320 family aircraft.

Two of the A220-300 deliveries went to Air France while the other pair of jets were split between Air Baltic and JetBlue. Tibet Airlines was the only carrier to have an A319neo delivered by Airbus.

23 Airbus A320neo aircraft were received by airlines or lessors including LATAM, easyJet, IndiGo and flynas.

20 A321neo were received by airlines and lessors that included Delta Air Lines, Iberia, Gulf Air and SAUDIA.
