Emirates launches cabin crew recruitment drive in Australia amid demand growth

Emirates

Emirates is looking for Australian candidates to join its cabin crew team, with the airline hosting a series of open days across the country.

The recruitment drive comes as Emirates continues to see strong passenger bookings from Australia with significant demand across all its cabins, including its recently launched Premium Economy service.

Emirates said that it is looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering simple yet personalized and impeccable hospitality while creating memorable moments for its customers.

Requirements and training

In an emailed statement sent to AeroTime, Emirates said that its recruitment team is looking for candidates who are fluent in written and spoken English and have one year of hospitality or customer service experience. Once selected, training will be provided at the Emirates Aviation College Cabin Crew Training in Dubai.

New recruits will learn leadership and life-saving skills in safety and emergency procedures, essential first aid during group medical training, observational and industry insights during security sessions, skincare, nutrition and wellbeing advice during the image and uniform training, and an insight into the pillars of hospitality and onboard food and beverage offering during service training.

Emirates cabin crew benefits

Emirates offers a competitive, tax-free salary, flying pay, eligibility for profit share as well as hotel and layover expenses paid for.

Cabin crew can also enjoy annual leave, annual leave ticket and deeply discounted flight tickets for self, dependents, wider family and friends, so that they can travel together, or separately.

Emirates also offers furnished accommodation, transportation to and from work, laundry service and medical, life and dental insurance coverage.

“At Emirates, we’re proud to support the career development of our Cabin Crew from their first day on board, through to progression into Premium Economy, Business Class, First Class, or as a Purser or Cabin Crew Trainer. Allowing our talent to develop is a priority at Emirates and the possibilities for those who are enthusiastic, passionate, and genuinely care for our customers, are endless,” Rania Kamel, recruitment partner at Emirates told AeroTime.

Australian open days

Emirates will conduct open days throughout June and July 2023 across Australia.

Candidates are advised to pre-register, but those who have not applied online may do so as walk-ins at the open day.

Candidates will need to come prepared to spend the full day at the venue. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of timings for further assessments and interviews on the same day. All candidates are asked to bring an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) in English, and a recent photograph.
