As Etihad Airways moves its operations to the airline’s new Terminal A home at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) details about its premium lounge have been unveiled.

Stretching across three floors, its new lounge has reset the bar for luxury travelling with a range of dining options, relaxation and entertainment spaces to suit all guests.

The flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the news on November 6, 2023, following the first Etihad passenger plane taking off from Terminal A on October 31, 2023.

The airline will make its full transition to the new terminal between November 9 and 14, 2023.

The new first and business class lounges have been located with access to three gates offering direct-lounge boarding on selected flights.

“When designing the Etihad Lounges in our new home, Terminal A, our teams thought through every detail, ensuring an experience that will delight our guests from the moment they step through the door,” Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad, said. “The lounge is a hugely important aspect of our guests’ journey and we wanted to curate an impressive experience that will leave them wanting to fly again soon. In true Etihad style, we’ve been innovative with the design and will offer a selection of memorable experiences whether our guests choose to relax, indulge in various dining options or enjoy a refreshing drink at the signature Constellation Bar.”

The Constellation Bar within the Roof Lounge is decorated with a 172 piece, 25-meter-long bespoke glass lighting sculpture – Panora – which depicts the Abu Dhabi city skyline.

The business class lounge features an array of dining experiences with Liwan Global Dining named as the lounge’s informal, all-day dining restaurant which features live cooking stations, Emirati and Middle Eastern cuisines alongside international favorites inspired by the destinations Etihad flies to.

Relaxation rooms come with private day beds and 18 shower suites for those that want to refresh before their flight.

In the business lounge, a games room is fully equipped with table football, air hockey and digital gaming options and a family room helps passengers keep the younger guests entertained.

Guests flying in economy who wish to enjoy the exclusive lounge space can purchase access to Etihad’s business lounge subject to availability.

In the first-class lounge there is a dedicated reception lobby for Etihad’s most premium guests and a private elevator to access the rooftop lounge on the top floor of the complex.

Customers can experience à la carte dining as well as a decadent selection of pastries, desserts and a signature tea experience.  Private suites are also available for guests to work, relax and dine in complete privacy.

Premium guests arriving in Abu Dhabi with pre-booked chauffeur services will also be invited to visit the arrival lounge to shower, refresh or simply grab a quick snack or drink before meeting their chauffeur.
