British carrier Global Airlines has confirmed that it has added three more Airbus A380s to its fleet.

The aviation disrupter, which is the world’s newest long-haul airline, revealed the news on Thursday, June 30, 2023.

In May 2023, Global Airlines appeared from nowhere as an unknown startup to announce that it had purchased a single Airbus A380 from Doric, a Germany-based investment firm.

The additional aircraft have been purchased for an undisclosed figure and the Global team is now developing plans for their refit and return to service.

James Asquith, Founder and CEO of Global Airlines, plans for the company to carry the first passengers across the Atlantic Ocean in spring 2024.

“We are also delighted to announce that we have agreed to the purchase of a further three A380s to join the Global fleet. As I’ve always said, the A380 is the best aircraft in the sky, and we will continue to look for further acquisition opportunities,” Asquith said.

Global Airlines has also announced that Pierre Madrange and Ian Black are to join its advisory board.

Pierre Madrange is a former French Air Force fighter pilot who went on to hold the positions of COO at XL Airways, managing director at SR Technics and vice president of NAVBLUE, an Airbus company.

Ian Black is a highly experienced commercial and former military pilot who worked for a major UK long haul airline for over 25 years as a senior captain on the Airbus/Boeing fleet.
