Kuwait Airways announces major network expansion

Kuwait Airways announced a major network expansion, adding quite a few dots to its route map in the coming months.  

The list of new destinations is a mix of entirely new ones and some that Kuwait Airways had already flown to in the past, either seasonally or year-round. Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt and the European Union are the focus areas of this expansion. 

The new flight schedule will also be rolled out step by step, with some services launching as early as March (Alexandria) and some in the next winter season (Barcelona). 

Here is the list, as published by Kuwait Airways on its social media channels: 

New destinations starting in June: Budapest, Athens  

New destinations starting in October: Barcelona, Al-Ula, Qassim, Taif, Abha  

Destinations that return to the network in June: Málaga, Nice, Berlin, Vienna, Sarajevo, Mykonos, Izmir (from April), Bodrum, Trabzon, Alexandria (from March), Sharm-el-Sheikh, Salalah 

This is not the only novelty announced by the flag carrier of the small Gulf state, new business class and premium economy products for its A330neo fleet and a new uniform design for its cabin crew have also been unveiled in the last few days
