The Lufthansa Group is searching for 13,000 new recruits to join its team in 2024 despite already employing 95,000 people in more than 90 countries.

Lufthansa, which also operates Eurowings and Austrian Airlines, is hoping to find a wide range of professionals but has four job roles in particular need of new staff.

According to a statement from Lufthansa on January 15, 2024, colleagues for the cockpit and cabin are particularly sought after, as are technicians and those who work in IT.

“In an industry like ours, success stands and falls with those who give their best every day to inspire our customers. We therefore continue to focus on attracting new employees and being an attractive employer. After all, it is our colleagues in the air and on the ground who are there for our passengers every day and give our brands and companies a face,” Michael Niggemann, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG responsible for Human Resources and Infrastructure, said.

Lufthansa Group plans to recruit more than 3,500 people as cabin crew, 1,000 pilots, around 2,000 technicians (800 trainees) and approximately 900 IT experts.

Jobs are also available in other areas of the business, such as ground staff at the Lufthansa hubs in Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and Munich International Airport (MUC).

Lufthansa recruited more than 13,000 new employees in 2023.
