Paul Verhagen was appointed Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Scandinavian airline SAS in September 2023.

The airline executive, who has previously held senior managerial roles at airlines such as Aeromexico and Air France-KLM, arrives at a particularly complicated time, as SAS is in the midst of a restructuring process after voluntarily filing for Chapter 11 in the US in 2022.

Talking to AeroTime during the World Aviation Festival, Verhagen shared some details about SAS’s current commercial outlook and spoke about matters such as the airline’s ongoing fleet renewal, with more Airbus A320neos joining the fleet, as well as his views on SAS’s competitive position in its core markets.
