A Beechcraft C90GTi King Air has crashed into a Brazilian hangar during take-off, killing the pilot and an external employee working at the airport.

The out-of-control private plane was captured on video as it swung to the side of the runway, causing the left wing to break off against the ground.

The aircraft, registered PS-JCO, then shot across the tarmac, before running beyond the camera frame, where it then crashed into a hangar under construction and burst into flames.

The tragic incident happened on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Bom Futuro Municipal Airport in Cuiabá, Brazil.

The two brothers who were passengers in the back of the plane were able to escape and were subsequently taken to hospital by helicopter.

According to Brazilian website G1, the two brothers were conscious and only suffered a few bruises.

In a statement, the Bom Futuro group has stated that it regrets the accident, expressing solidarity with the families of the victims.

“The aircraft involved did not belong to the company, which provides hangar service on site, and there were no Bom Futuro collaborators among the victims. All information about the accident will be provided by the competent authorities,” the airport said in the statement.

The incident is now being investigated by aviation authorities in Brazil.
