Qatar Airways has unveiled its latest Formula 1 inspired livery as the national flag carrier prepares for the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix 2023.

Qatar Airways is the title sponsor of the prestigious sporting event which starts on October 6, 2023, and will reach its dramatic climax on October 8, 2023, for the main race at the Lusail International Circuit.

Dignitaries from Qatar Airways, the Qatari Government and motor racing met at Hamad International Airport (DOH) this week ahead of the Grand Prix to reveal a Boeing 777 aircraft painted in the vibrant livery of F1.

Those in attendance included the minister of Sports and Youth, Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, and the Qatar Airways CEO, Akbar Al Baker.

“The Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023 has been something we have looked forward to since the announcement of our partnership with F1 early this year,” Al Baker said. “This momentous Grand Prix marks a thrilling addition to Qatar’s sporting legacy and embodies the excitement and excellence that Qatar Airways has consistently delivered to its passengers and partners travelling globally to sporting events. We cannot wait to witness history in the making as the Qatar Grand Prix unfolds in our country.”

F1 fans will also have the opportunity to indulge in some inflight F1 treats while travelling with Qatar Airways.

A specially curated à la carte menu which includes a chocolate berry cake accompanied by a miniature milk chocolate F1 car model will be available on some flights.

The celebration extends to the airline’s Oryx One inflight entertainment system, treating all passengers to an exhilarating preview of the race to come with an exclusive take-off trailer.

Qatar Airways also recently unveiled a unique livery to celebrate the Expo 2023 Doha which opened on October 2, 2023.

An Airbus A330-300 from the airline’s fleet was adorned in the new livery which included the Expo 2023 Doha’s logo of a ring of flowers, reflecting the event’s themes of ‘Green Desert, Better Environment’.
