Revealed: The top 10 most loved and hated airlines in the world

While some airlines have been celebrated for their excellent service, others have left passengers feeling frustrated.

But which airlines are soaring high in the customer satisfaction charts? And which have made passengers feel like they wish they’d stayed on the ground?

Currency exchange company S Money Australia has compiled a list of the world’s most hated and loved airlines.

The world’s most hated and loved airlines are revealed based on a February 2023 analysis by S Money Australia.

For its analysis, S Money Australia excluded charter, cargo, military, research, government and defunct airlines and kept only major companies operating scheduled flights .

S Money then collected the official handles of all airlines that operated a Twitter account, pulling up to a maximum of 4000 tweets in the English language that mentioned these airlines or their Twitter handles in December 2022. Any airline with less than 100 mentions in total was excluded from the analysis.

S Money labeled the Most Loved as the airline with the highest percentage of positive tweets and the Most Hated Airline as the one with the most negative comments.

SUMMARY:

Canada’s Bearskin Airlines is the world’s most loved airline, with 53.4% positive tweets.
In Australia, Jetstar Airways, Qantas and Virgin Australia all have a >50% negativity rating.
India’s Go First is the world’s most hated airline, with a 73.8% negativity rating.
The U.S. has two of the most hated airlines in the world: Spirit Airlines with 62.2% negativity and Frontier Airlines with 61.9%.
