SAUDIA cited an increase in demand for international travel as one of the reasons for its expansion.

The airline also recently launched a visa program that links passengers’ transit visas with flight tickets to allow easier travel across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“SAUDIA Group has been carrying the kingdom’s ambitions, values and traditions across every corner of its network, as it flies the nation’s flag around the world. These new destinations will offer greater access and choices to our guests. Given the increase in demand for international travel, this is the right time to expand our global network in new, exciting ways,” SAUDIA group director general, H.E. Engineer Ibrahim Al-Omar said in a statement.

SAUDIA, along with Saudi Arabia’s new carrier Riyadh Air, recently announced huge Dreamliner deals with Boeing. SAUDIA will purchase up to 49 787 Dreamliners as part of Saudi Arabia’s wider strategic plan to transform the country into a global aviation hub.
