SAUDIA gives sneak preview of airline’s new business class seat at convention

Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) has unveiled its latest business class seat at the annual Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. 

The new business seat has been named the ‘VantageSOLO suite’ and will be fitted on the airline’s new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft. 

According to SAUDIA, the VantageSOLO suite, “provides significantly more privacy than previous business class seats, with a privacy shield around the back and an additional door at the aisle”. 

The passenger’s seat can also be reclined fully into bed mode and features an 18” screen for enhanced viewing, plus increased storage space. 

“At SAUDIA we are deeply committed to finding new and innovative ways to further enhance our renowned guest experience,” SAUDIA CEO Captain Ibrahim Koshy said. “We firmly believe that the VantageSOLO suite represents the epitome of comfort, privacy and luxury.”  

He added: “Our new business class offering is the embodiment of SAUDIA’s dedication to constantly evolving its products and services to deliver a superior customer journey underpinned by the very latest technological developments.” 

In addition to the launch of VantageSOLO suite, SAUDIA has announced its new economy class seat, the z400 which will feature a 13” screen and a generous recline. 

The new Airbus A321 XLR aircraft will cover destinations across Europe, the Indian subcontinent and Africa including Milan, Barcelona, Brussels, Rome, the Maldives, and Dakar. 

Etihad Airways and flydubai also revealed their new business class and economy seats in conjunction with the Arabian Travel Market. 

Etihad’s upgraded interior to the new Boeing 787 Dreamliners that will join the fleet in the third quarter includes a fresh interior and business suites with private doors. 

While flydubai’s latest offering for business passengers is designed to provide levels of comfort onboard single-aisle Boeing 737s comparable to that found on wide-body aircraft.
