For the first time in Southwest Airlines history, the carrier has announced a buy one, get one 50% off base fares promotional offer.
The offer gives customers the opportunity to take a flight in early 2024 at half the price of a normal ticket.
To receive 50% off the flight, customers need to book a trip with the airline and travel by September 30, 2023.
However, potential passengers will need to be quick and ensure they purchase their tickets by August 3, 2023.
“We’re so grateful for the loyalty our customers share with Southwest every day and we know they’re ready to make some travel plans in 2024,” said Jonathan Clarkson, vice president of Marketing at Southwest Airlines. “This extra discount on our already low fares enhances the value of our frequent flights, flexible policies, and the unmatched friendliness of our people. We hope it underscores our gratitude for the relationship between Southwest and those who choose to fly with us.”
To qualify customers must be part of Southwest’s Rapid Rewards® membership scheme, which you can join here.
Once a member of the scheme, you must register for the promotion and then buy a revenue flight (one round trip or two one-ways) by August 3, 2023, at 11:59pm CDT, for travel by September 30, 2023.
Then to receive 50% off you will need your promotional code which will become valid when booking a flight between October 17, 2023, and November 23, 2023.
At that point you can then book flights for travel from January 8, 2024, through to March 6, 2024.
Although be aware, there will be a travel blackout from February 15, 2024, through February 19, 2024, and February 23, 2024, through February 25, 2024, and on March 3, 2024.
