Turkish Airlines has unveiled its new low-cost subsidiary airline AJet Air Transportation, which has evolved from the existing company AnadoluJet.

The new airline comes complete with a fresh new livery, logo and branding as Turkish Airlines looks to refresh the carrier, which started operating in 2008.

Details about the airline’s new name were posted across the social media channels of AnadoluJet, which have been renamed as AJet, on November 24, 2023, with a video showing an Airbus A321neo being repainted in the new livery.

“Our adventure, which has been successful for years, is here with its new name. Stay tuned to spread your wings to the future with AJet!,” the rebranded airline wrote on X, formally Twitter.

On its LinkedIn page AJet declared: “Allow us to reintroduce ourselves. AnadoluJet is now AJet. Follow us to be a part of the journey.” News that AnadoluJet was to be rebranded into AJet was first announced in July 2023 during a stock market disclosure.

AJet flights are scheduled to start in March 2024, according to a statement issued by the airline.

Turkish Airlines Chairman Ahmet Bolat said: “In line with our goals for the next 10 years, we are proud to have started the establishment process of our AJet. The efforts and dedication we have put in for a long time have paid off, and we will introduce AJet to the skies with the summer schedule at the end of March 2024.”

Bolat added: “We fully believe that AJet, with its new name, will become an important part of the low-cost aviation industry on a global scale.”
