Uganda Airline could soon launch direct flights to Lagos after a Uganda Airline will soon launch direct flights to Lagos after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Nigeria and Uganda.
The agreement aims to stimulate trade, investment and economic activity between the two countries by facilitating reciprocal air services, according to a Business Insider Africa report.
Additionally, direct flights from Entebbe to Abuja will also be considered, the report added
According to a report by The Cable published on November 1, 2022, Jenifer Bamuturaki, chief executive officer (CEO), Uganda Airlines, said during the 18th Akwaaba Africa Travel and Tourism Market held in Lagos on October 31, 2022, that the airline intended to commence flight operations to Nigeria in December 2022. She added that flights to Abuja will begin in 2023.
The flights will become Uganda Airlines’ first-ever services to Nigeria.
