The Airbus A320neo family is the best-selling single-aisle aircraft programme in aviation, the re-engined successor to the original A320 ceo family. The neo, or new engine option, introduces CFM LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines plus aerodynamic Sharklets, and is offered in three core variants, the A319neo, A320neo and A321neo, covering roughly 140 to 240 seats. All three share a common type rating, so a single pilot qualification covers the family.
