All Nippon Airways (ANA) publicly unveiled its latest “Pokémon Jet” on September 18, 2026. The aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 (registration JA923A), is the second in a three-livery series inspired by the popular Japanese Pokémon franchise.
Following a welcoming event at Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport (HND), “Green Pokémon Jet” departed for Honolulu (HNL), Hawaii, on its first commercial flight in its new livery.
ANA has extended the Pokémon jet experience to the cabin, with a number of decorative elements onboard and inflight entertainment relating also to the popular franchise.
The aircraft has been named “Green Pokémon Jet”, a reference to the predominant colors of its design. This aircraft will be operating on routes between Tokyo’s two international airports and a handful of destinations across the Asia-Pacific region and North America.
In particular, ANA has confirmed that, at least until March 2027, “Green Pokémon Jet” will operate services from Haneda International Airport (HND) to Honolulu (HNL), Seattle (SEA), Vancouver (YVR), Sydney (SYD), Manila (MNL), Singapore (SIN), Delhi (DEL), Bangkok (BKK), Jakarta (CGK), Kuala Lumpur (KUL), and from Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Perth (PER), Singapore (SIN), Bangkok (BKK), Jakarta (CGK) and Mumbai (BOM).
“Green Pokémon Jet” is the second in a three-livery series which follows variations of the same Pokémon-themed design.
The other two are “Red Pokémon Jet“, a Boeing 787-8 (Registration JA819A) which has been operating since July 29, 2026, on Japanese domestic routes, and “Blue Pokémon Jet”, a Boeing 737-800 (Registration JA56AN) which will be unveiled towards the end of 2026 and will operate also domestic routes.
This series of special liveries marks the 30th Anniversary of the collaboration between the Japanese airline and The Pokémon Company. “Green Pokémon Jet” is, actually, the 13th ANA aircraft to get a Pokémon livery since 1998.
As part of this particular campaign, ANA is also organizing activities on the ground, with PokéStops and Gyms popping up at 14 airports across Japan: Kochi (KCZ), Matsuyama (MYJ), Takamatsu (TAK), Tokushima (TKS), Fukuoka (FUK), Saga (HSG), Miyazaki (KMI), Kumamoto (KMJ), Kagoshima (KOJ), Nagasaki (NGS), Oita (OIT), Ishigaki (ISG), Miyako (MMY), and Naha (OKA).
At these locations, Pokémon GO players can take part in group challenges and tasks with the possibility of collecting characters with a special background tied to the Green Pokémon Jet.
