Airbus A330-300

The Airbus A330-300 is the original A330 and its best-seller: the 250-to-300-seat twin that entered service in 1994 and proved a mid-size widebody could do most of what a 747 did at a fraction of the cost. Around 790 were ordered, and more than 500 remain in scheduled service, the largest active widebody variant fleet in the world after the 777-300ER's class.

The type became the backbone of Asian medium-haul flying, Cathay Pacific, the Chinese majors and Korean carriers built dense regional trunk networks on it, while Delta, Turkish and Air Canada fly it across the Atlantic. Its direct successor, the A330-900, carries the same fuselage forward, keeping -300 crews, spares and infrastructure relevant for decades more.
