The first A321neo aircraft for Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Wizz Air’s newest subsidiary based in the Middle East, was spotted in Hamburg on August 3, 2020, awaiting flight testing before its final destination.
The first out of their planned two A321neos (Registered HA-LVJ) was seen in Hamburg, Germany. The German city hosts an Airbus A320 family Final Assembly Line (FAL)..

Temporary registration number in one of the pictures reads “D-AVVA” on the right side of the aircraft, indicating that this A321neo, a 239-all-economy seater, is due for flight testing before it is cleared for Abu Dhabi.
The aircraft’s tail spots purple Abu Dhabi lettering, further affirming its final destination when it does leave Airbus’ Hamburg FAL.
Despite the recession in the global aviation industry, financial havoc, mass layoffs and size of operation reduction, Wizz Air continues their journey towards worldwide expansion after reporting comparatively insignificant losses in Q1 FY2021.
The new Wizz Air’s subsidiary is set to launch its low-cost Middle Eastern operation on October 1, 2020, spanning a destination network between its home base in Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Borg El Arab International Airport (HBE) in Egypt, Athens International Airport (ATH) in Greece, Kutaisi International Airport (KUT) in Sakartvelo, Larnaca International Airport (LCA) in Cyprus, Odessa International Airport (ODS) in Ukraine, and Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) in Yerevan, Armenia.
