Airbus has secured a firm order from long-time partner China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) for 30 A320neo aircraft with delivery scheduled through to 2033.

On December 30, 2025, the two companies announced that CALC had placed its fifth order with Airbus in a relationship that stretches back to 2012.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hong Kong-based CALC can convert the order to other variants of the Airbus A320 family aircraft.

CALC’s remaining Airbus orderbook will rise to 105 aircraft, bringing its total Airbus orders to 282 of which 203 are A320 family aircraft

“Our partnership with Airbus started in 2012, and in 2014 we became the first Chinese lessor to place a direct bulk order with the company. While today’s order is another milestone in CALC’s journey to build a next-generation, future-ready fleet and solidify our position as one of the leading global aircraft lessors.” said Mike Poon, Executive Director and CEO of CALC.

In July 2012, CALC’s first order with Airbus was for A320ceo family aircraft followed by a second in 2014 for 100 A320ceo and A320neo family aircraft.

CALC further strengthened its portfolio with orders for 65 A320neo family aircraft in 2017 and 40 A321neo aircraft in 2020.

“CALC has been a long-time valued partner of Airbus with its first order placed in 2012, and it’s a privilege to see another repeat order,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business. “CALC’s deep understanding of the market and what its customers demand is a solid endorsement of the A320neo Family. This commitment reinforces their strength as a lessor with the most efficient, versatile, and in-demand single-aisle aircraft for their customers.”
