ANA Holdings has unveiled its fiscal year 2026 flight schedule, detailing a 5% increase in international capacity alongside new Boeing aircraft deliveries and a reorganization of its cargo network.
The plan also includes domestic route adjustments and the integration of recently acquired Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) into the group’s operations.
The Tokyo-based carrier revealed its FY2026 flight schedule on January 19, 2026, outlining expansion across passenger and cargo operations as it integrates Nippon Cargo Airlines into its network.
International expansion and new aircraft
ANA said that its international flight frequency will reach 105% of the 2025 capacity. The expansion includes converting the Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND)-Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) route to daily service during the second half of the fiscal year and reintroducing seasonal service between Narita and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) from June through August 2026.
The airline will begin taking delivery of Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with new cabin interiors in August 2026. The aircraft will feature ANA’s latest Business Class product, “THE Room FX,” along with redesigned Premium Economy and Economy Class seats. The airline has not yet disclosed which routes will receive the new aircraft.
ANA’s low-cost subsidiary Peach will increase total flight frequency to 112% of the previous year, with seasonal adjustments on routes to Seoul Incheon Airport (ICN), Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE), and Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) from its Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX) hub.
Domestic network adjustments
On the domestic front, ANA said it will operate at 98% of previous year capacity, implementing frequency reductions or suspensions on select routes based on demand trends and competitive conditions.
Notable changes include reducing its Haneda-Fukuoka Airport (FUK) service from 20 to 19 daily roundtrips and cutting Osaka Itami Airport (ITM)-Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport (CTS) from six to five daily roundtrips. ANA will suspend service on routes including Kansai-Sapporo, Kansai-Okinawa, and Kansai-Miyako, though the airline indicated some routes will operate on select dates.
The carrier will add temporary service on routes including Nagoya Chubu to Asahikawa and Memanbetsu during the summer months from July through October.
Peach will increase domestic capacity on key leisure routes, including Kansai-Sapporo, Kansai-Okinawa Naha Airport (OKA), and Narita-Sapporo, while introducing limited seasonal service to Kushiro Airport (KUH) and Memanbetsu Airport (MMB) from Kansai.
New Boeing 737-8 aircraft will join the domestic fleet in June 2026.
Cargo network reorganization
ANA Group is restructuring its cargo operations following the integration of Nippon Cargo Airlines, positioning itself as what it describes as Japan’s largest combination carrier.
The reorganization assigns ANA-operated freighters to Asian routes using medium-sized Boeing 767 freighters, while NCA-operated flights will focus on North America and Europe using larger Boeing 777 and 747 freighters.
Starting March 29, 2026, ANA will increase freighter frequency on the Narita-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) route. NCA will add a combined five weekly roundtrips across its Narita-Chicago O Hare Airport (ORD), Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) routes.
The cargo expansion includes adjustments to routes serving Hong Kong, Shanghai, and several Chinese cities, with some frequencies still to be determined. European freighter service will continue operating via Amsterdam to Milan and Frankfurt.
ANA’s current fleet stands at 82 aircraft across its ANA, Peach, and AirJapan brands. The airline group was recognized as Asia Pacific’s Most On-Time Airline for 2025 and has maintained SKYTRAX’s 5-Star rating for 13 consecutive years.
All route changes and frequency adjustments are subject to regulatory approval. The airline indicated that specific implementation dates for some routes will be announced separately as preparations are completed.
