A Delta Air Lines aircraft was isolated at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) due to a bomb threat, according to Israeli media.

On October 13, 2026, The Jerusalem Post reported that a Delta flight from New York was taken to a remote runway following an anonymous report of a “suspicious” device on board.

The Delta Airbus A330neo, registered N423DX, was inspected by airport officials who concluded there were no “unusual findings”.

“The aircraft was thoroughly inspected by Ben Gurion Airport security personnel,” an Israel Airports Authority spokesperson told The Times of Israel. “Operations have returned to normal.”

The flight left New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on October 12, 2026, at 15:55, and arrived in Tel Aviv shortly after 08:25.

This latest incident comes just under two weeks after a flydubai pilot attacked his captain on a flight to Israel and is suspected of attempting to crash the aircraft.

The Boeing 737 MAX 8 operating from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted to Saudi Arabia on September 30, 2026, after transmitting emergency transponder codes, including one used to indicate unlawful interference with an aircraft.

The first officer attacked the captain with an axe located in the cockpit for emergency use.

Despite being stabbed, the captain managed to open the cockpit door which allowed passengers to gain entry to the flight deck and restrain the attacker.

AeroTime has contacted Delta Air Lines for more information on the suspicious device incident.
