On September 24, 2026, easyJet announced the launch of 18 new routes out of the United Kingdom for Summer 2027.
The new batch of routes is strongly oriented towards the leisure market, leaning strongly towards seaside destinations along the Mediterranean coast.
Spain features prominently in the updated flight program, with six new routes.
One of the most eye-catching novelties is the addition for the first time ever of Girona-Costa Brava (GRO) airport, in northern Catalonia, to easyJet’s network. This airport has traditionally been used as a base by Ryanair, which markets it as an alternative gateway to travel to and from the city of Barcelona. easyJet will link Girona to both Liverpool-John Lennon Airport (LIV), twice weekly from March 28, 2027, and London Gatwick (LGW), thrice weekly starting on 3 June.
The UK low-cost carrier will also launch the first ever scheduled service between Aberdeen (ABZ) and Barcelona (BCN), with a new twice-weekly connection starting on March 31, 2026.
The Granite City will also see the launch of a nonstop twice-weekly service to Palma de Mallorca (PMI).
Other new routes between the UK and Spain will include Liverpool to Murcia (RMU) and Edinburgh (EDI) to Bilbao (BIO). Both services will be operated twice a week.
Southern France and Corsica are also getting attention from easyJet’s route planners, with new twice weekly services being launched between London Gatwick and Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte Airport (AJA) and from Manchester (MAN) to Bastia (BIA), also on the island of Corsica, both starting at the end of June 2027.
Bristol will also get a twice weekly service to Montpellier and to Burgas (BOJ), on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, starting from July 1, 2027, and May 28, 2027, respectively.
Italy in turn will get two new routes to the UK in March, linking Milan Malpensa to Birmingham (BHX) and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) to Edinburgh. Both services will be operated twice a week. The Scottish capital will also see new services to Tivat (TIV) in Montenegro, and Hamburg (HAM), the latter being the only destination of the whole batch that it is located in northern Europe.
easyJet is also strengthening its Greek coverage from the London market, with the launch of new services from London Southend (SEN) to Rhodes (RHO) on April 27, 2027, and from London Luton (LTN) to Thessaloniki (SKG) on May 1, 2027.
The north of England will also get a new connection to Cyprus, as the budget carrier strengthens its newly announced base in Newcastle (NCL) with a new route to Larnaca (LCA) which will operate weekly, starting on March 31, 2027.
