For the ninth year running, Emirates will serve as the official airline for the Australian Open in 2023.
Since partnering with Tennis Australia in 2015, Emirates has been dedicated to flying tennis fans and players in comfort and safety across the country’s six continents.
In an emailed statement to AeroTime, Barry Brown, Emirates’ divisional vice president of Australasia, said: “It is a pleasure to be involved in such an iconic sporting event. As a world-renowned event and highly popular fixture within Australia’s sporting culture, the Australian Open draws people from across the world to Melbourne each year.

When is the Australian Open 2023?
The Grand Slam tournament commences on Monday January 16, 2023 at Melbourne Park. It will end on January 29, 2023.

In an Emirates and Australian Open first, fans around the world will have the opportunity to join Emirates in the metaverse as they fly to new and innovative dimensions as part of Roblox AO Adventure.
Players will be welcomed to the gamified AO Ballpark by Roblox’s first ever Emirates Cabin Crew humanoid, who will encourage players in the game to engage with all the action.
